The Indooroopilly Bridge from the Entry to the River Walk

The Indooroopilly Bridge is an important landmark to me; I’ve painted it a few times before. I see it almost everyday, but I couldn’t help notice how different it looked from this particular angle. This is a plein air painting I did on the 31st of August, the video of the process is on my Youtube channel (video titled “Plein Air Painting: A Different Angle).

I wrote a short poem to accompany this painting:

The sun grew low as I stood

On a patch of grass off the river trail

Where my feet where strangers

And my eyes where privy to new details
